This tool generates Mermaid.js diagrams — including flowcharts, sequence diagrams, mind maps, ER diagrams, and Gantt charts — and renders them as interactive SVG in the browser. You can then edit the Mermaid code directly and download as SVG or PNG.
What diagram types does this tool support?
Five diagram types: Flowchart (process flows and decision trees), Sequence Diagram (actor interactions and message passing), Mind Map (hierarchical topic breakdowns), ER Diagram (entity-relationship models for databases), and Gantt Chart (project timelines with phases and tasks). Each type has its own system prompt and example descriptions to get you started.
Can I edit the generated diagram?
Yes. After generation, switch to the 'Mermaid Code' tab — the code panel is an editable text area. Any change you type immediately re-renders the diagram in the Preview tab. This turns the tool from a one-shot generator into an iterative diagram editor. You can fix labels, add nodes, change arrow directions, or restructure the diagram without regenerating from scratch.
How do I download the diagram?
Two download options appear after generation: Download SVG (vector format, infinitely scalable, ideal for presentations and docs) and Download PNG (2× HiDPI raster with white background, ideal for pasting into Google Slides, Word, or email). Both buttons appear in the output panel below the diagram preview.
Is this flowchart builder free?
Yes — free, no account needed. Rate limited to 10 diagrams per hour per device. All diagram types are included at no cost.
